I have been creating jewelry for a number of years now. I am fascinated by the wide range of creative choices inherent in wire techniques. Each piece that I make in this medium captures a different mood and color palette. Wire seems to have an unending range of possibilities, and this produces creative excitement for an artist. I hope for you too.
I have experimented with sterling silver, gold, copper, and a range of art wires. I have also worked with silk ribbons, macramé, and synthetic beading string, among other materials. Each medium presents the artist with different possibilities. Strung objects have ranged from semi-precious stones, to hand blown glass, faceted glass to vintage buttons. Again, each type of object affords a different visual experience.
The tag line for my business is – unique bling bling. I think jewelry should inspire mirth and joy. I try to share this experience with my clients.
Incidentally, you might enjoy a few of Shakespeare’s thoughts on adornment and crafting (desktop only). The quote will change every 20 secs or so. Enjoy:
A word about the photos in my portfolio: The images are not recolored in any way except that the background has been removed for improved presentation. That’s a tedious process, and some shadow pixels remain. Otherwise, what you see is what you’ll get.
